Day 2: From Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will head toward Serengeti National Park, crossing the high-altitude farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa, where the endless plains stretch as far as the eye can see. We will visit the park's central area, Seronera, rich in wildlife thanks to the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source and attracts a wide variety of species. We will arrive in time for lunch and, in the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in Serengeti National Park.

Recommended accommodation:

  • Tanzania Bush Camp
  • Heritage Camps

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

You will enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti, exploring its vast plains, rocky outcrops (kopjes), and river valleys. You may spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, and perhaps even wild dogs. Game drives usually begin early in the morning, with a return to camp in the mid-afternoon or at the end of the day.

Optional add-on:

If you wish, you can book a Hot Air Balloon Ride over the Serengeti to enjoy stunning views and increase your chances of seeing animals in areas inaccessible by road.

Recommended accommodation:

  • Tanzania Bush Camp
  • Heritage Camps

Day 4: From Serengeti to Olduvai Gorge and the Maasai Village

After breakfast, we will head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a game drive before visiting the Maasai village. On the way, we will stop at Olduvai Gorge, where Mary and Louis Leakey discovered fossils key to the history of humankind. Later, we will visit a Maasai village in the Malanja Ngorongoro area to learn about their culture, way of life, and traditional dances.

Recommended accommodation:

  • Embalakai Camps
  • Ang'ata Camps

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Excursion

After breakfast, we will descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. With about 30,000 resident animals, this is one of the best places in the world for wildlife viewing. Lake Magadi, located in the crater, is home to thousands of flamingos and is also a great place to spot endangered black rhinos. After the game drive, we will have lunch in the crater before returning to camp.

Inside, you can see wildlife, volcanic rock formations, birds, and the Olmoti waterfall, which flows into the Munge River. On this day we will do a walking safari guided by a ranger through this impressive landscape. The walk lasts 30 to 45 minutes. In the evening, we will return to Arusha for dinner and rest.
