Welcome to the Rhotia Valley!
The Tented Lodge offers an intimate atmosphere and personalized service with just fifteen en-suite safari cottages.

We are located on top of a hill on Tanzania's Northern Safari Circuit, in authentic rural Africa, in Rhotia, near Karatu, right on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater and not far from Lake Manyara National Park and the Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks.

Your stay at Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge directly supports the well-being of local children. A significant portion of your stay goes directly to the children's home and local school in Rhotia.

CHILDREN'S HOME

The Rhotia Valley Children's Home is our safe, welcoming home for orphaned children from the local community. We help children without families build their future — a bright one! We also create jobs for the local community.

LIFE AT THE RHOTIA VALLEY CHILDREN'S HOME

For all the children, living at the Rhotia Valley Children's Home means a fresh start.

They now have clean drinking water, three meals a day, clothes and a safe place to sleep — the care they so badly need. They can go to school every day and grow up in a safe environment.

Of course, it took them some time to get used to their new home, but the children settled in easily, made friends and now live in the three houses as if they were three big families.

A day at the Rhotia Valley Children's Home starts with a good breakfast, and then the Zebra School Bus takes them to school. After school, the children play football, games or do crafts with the volunteers and our guests.
