Frequently asked questions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Kipama African Safaris. By booking with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which form a legal agreement between you (the customer) and Kipama African Safaris (the company).

2. Reservations and Payments

All reservations must be made in writing, either by email or through our official website.

A deposit of 30% of the total cost is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance is due at least 30 days prior to the safari start date.
Reservations made less than 30 days in advance must be paid in full at the time of booking.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be notified in writing.

The refund policies are as follows:

  • More than 60 days before departure: refund of 90% of the amount paid.
  • Between 30 and 60 days before departure: refund of 50% of the amount paid.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: no refund will be made.
  • Kipama African Safaris is not responsible for costs associated with flight cancellations or accommodation booked by third parties.

4. Modifications by the Customer

Requests for modifications must be made in writing and are subject to availability and approval by Kipama African Safaris.
Additional charges may apply for changes made.

5. Modifications by the Company

Kipama African Safaris reserves the right to modify itineraries or services in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions, logistical or security problems.
In case of significant modifications, the customer will be offered an alternative or a partial refund.

6. Responsibility of the Client

It is the client's responsibility to ensure that they have a valid passport, visas, required vaccinations and travel insurance.
Kipama African Safaris is not responsible for delays, losses or additional expenses caused by lack of valid documents.

7. Health and Safety

Kipama African Safaris prioritises the safety of all clients, but cannot guarantee the absence of risks inherent in safari activities.
Clients are responsible for following the guide's instructions and acting in a safe manner at all times.

8. Insurance

All customers must have valid travel insurance covering cancellations, medical emergencies, evacuations and loss of baggage.
Kipama African Safaris is not responsible for expenses not covered by the client's insurance.

9. Exclusions

Unless otherwise stated, safari prices do not include:

  • Visas and entry fees.
  • Gratuities, alcoholic beverages and personal expenses.
  • International and domestic flights.
  • Travel insurance.

10. Force Majeure

Kipama African Safaris will not be responsible for changes, delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, such as war, natural disasters, pandemics or strikes.

11. Data Protection

Kipama African Safaris respects the privacy of your personal data and uses it only to process bookings and improve our services.

12. Applicable Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of Tanzania.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking with Kipama African Safaris, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.
